Great Expressions Dental Centers - Deep Cleaning Scam
So I was directed by Aetna to this facility in their Network. I made an appointment for a cleaning and check up....they would only do the clheckmup first....didn't think much of it.
Sooo......after all the x rays etc. the dentist look briefly at my teeth and proclaimed I needed a deep cleaning. Ok I said...sounds good! Well then I received a schedule of treatments for $800!
I said I just want a cleaning....they said they can only do a deep cleaning. At this point my scam radar was at full alert. She didn't even do a gum pocket probe! My previous dentist one year prior mentioned no gum disease.
A second opion proved me right but I had to pay out of pocket for everything.
To add insult to injury Great Expressions refused to forward my x-Rays so I got zapped again. So thumbs down for Aetna and a huge warning to all considering this scam dental outfit!
Reason of review: Bad quality.

Notice the problem in your first sentence. You went to a facility WHERE AETNA DIRECTED YOU.
Why? So Aetna could save money. They don't care a flip how good or poor the dentist is. It's all about Aetna.
Prostituting provider dentists can't make any money on cleanings at these low fees.
So they upcode everything to scalings and root planings.
You got garbage insurance, chum.
Drop the insurance, save the premiums you have been wasting, and use the money to pay an honest dentist. Or open a FLEX benefit account, if you employer permits it.
